Capturing Love in Paradise: A Summer Elopement in Positano, Italy
It was late 2022 when Sera & Jacob first reached out to me and expressed their personal vision for a truly intimate, authentic, and timeless elopement, with a hint of vintage magic, in one of the world's most picturesque locations. With a collection of dream weddings already scheduled for my upcoming European summer season, I was over the moon to have the opportunity to share in this beautiful couple's unforgettable day and photograph such a bucket list destination.

A Dream Destination
Positano, a charming cliffside village on the Amalfi Coast, is a place where romance blooms at every corner. The picturesque streets winding through the town are lined with bougainvillea, and the scent of Italian cuisine fills the air. It was no wonder that Sera and Jacob chose this idyllic spot for their destination wedding.

Sarah, in a flowing, ethereal white gown from Kyha Studios and pearl veil from Bridal House Geelong, and Jacob, in a sharp linen suit from Eddy Elias, looked like they had stepped straight out of a fairytale. The authenticity of their love was palpable, and every stolen glance, every tender touch, spoke volumes about the depth of their connection.
"My flowers haha My sister and I went for a walk the morning of the wedding and bought some from a local florist! I have no idea who they were. They just fitted us in to make a bouquet and buttonhole for Jake, plus some spare flowers for Rubi to play with during the day" - Sera.

A Photographer's Dream
As a photographer, capturing the love and emotion of the moment is my passion. Positano provided me with the most exquisite canvas, and Sera and Jacob, with their love and vulnerability, gave me a beautiful story to tell through my lens.
We wandered through the narrow, winding streets of Positano, where vibrant flowers cascaded down the walls, and pastel-colored houses seemed to defy gravity. Each corner we turned revealed another stunning backdrop for their love story. Whether it was an intimate moment beneath a secluded church or a joyous embrace on a bustling piazza, every frame told a part of their story.

A Lasting Memory
As the evening sun dipped behind the surrounding mountainside, we returned to the terrace where it all began. Sera and Jacob celebrated their love with a traditional Italian meal alongside their closest friends & family, toasting their future together under a canopy of stars.Elopements like this one in Positano remind me of the incredible privilege I have as a photographer to witness and document the most intimate and genuine moments in people's lives.
As I packed up my camera gear, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a beautiful day. Positano's beauty, combined with Sera and Jacob's love, created a memory that will last a lifetime.
Their elopement was a reminder that love is universal, and when you find it, every moment becomes a treasure to be cherished forever.
